Terms of Use

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Acceptance

By using Foldyo (the “Service”), operated by Pedro Zenon Peña Segura (contacto@foldyo.com), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Foldyo offers free online tools to work with PDF files. The tools run in your browser. We may change, limit or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

Your files and your responsibility

Your files stay on your device and we cannot see, review or recover them. You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to use them. Do not use the Service for anything unlawful or to infringe the rights of others.

Acceptable use

  • Do not try to disrupt, overload or attack the Service or the infrastructure that delivers it.
  • Do not use automated means to access the Service in a way that harms its operation.
  • Do not use the Service to remove protections from files you are not authorised to open or modify.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Results may differ from the original: for example, bookmarks or interactive form fields may not be preserved. Always keep a copy of your original files and check the result before relying on it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profit or business arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

Intellectual property and open source

The design, texts and code of Foldyo belong to its operator, except for open-source components. Foldyo uses open-source software under their own licences, including pdf.js (Apache-2.0), Tesseract.js and its language data (Apache-2.0), docx (MIT), pdf-lib (MIT), fflate (MIT), Astro (MIT) and Tailwind CSS (MIT). The full list with the text of each licence is at /third-party-notices.txt. Your files remain yours. Foldyo is an independent service and is not affiliated with any other company or product mentioned on the site.

Links to other sites

The Service may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru, and any dispute is submitted to the courts of Lima. This does not affect any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
